Hey I’m going to be teaching you how to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 on an iPod Touch 2G although it may work on other generations.
1. The first thing you’re going to want to do is download redsn0w which can be found here.
2. Once you’ve downloaded the newest version of redsn0w you’re going to need the *iOS 4.0* yes 4.0 not 4.1 trust me it works. The .ipsw can be downloaded here. 2nd drop down menu.
3. Open redsn0w it will ask you to find your CURRENT IPSW. Don’t and just select the 4.0 instead.
4. Once it is sucessfuly verified it will ask you something like this:
check on your ipod if it is MC then do not go further this guide is not for you.
5. It’ll then go through some processes.
6. This is the basic setup:

since I made my own boot screen and recovery screen which are these two:

And my boot display: (The original actually had my name on it, but I made another so you could use it.
7. Plug your iDevice in and then turn it off.
8. It’ll then ask you to hold down the power button for 3 seconds.
9. Then, still holding onto the power button, hold the home button for 10 seconds.
10. And then let go of the power but keep holding the home until install begins.
11. It will then install it.
12. Once it says finish, it’s still installing on your device so don’t turn it off.
13. It will run some installs on your Device, then reboot, and power up
14. There you go! Jailbroken!
